About Smile Restaurant

Introducing Smile Restaurant, a laid-back Southeast Asian spot that feels like it belongs right where it is-on St 7 11 Village in Krong Kampong Cham, Cambodia, where local energy meets an easygoing dining scene. When I talk about Smile Restaurant, I usually start with the atmosphere because it’s the kind of place that welcomes you in without trying too hard, blending casual comfort with flavors that keep things interesting. The menu leans into Southeast Asian inspiration while staying flexible, which makes it perfect whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or settling in for a longer meal with friends. I like how Smile Restaurant works around real-life needs, offering dine-in for relaxed evenings, takeaway when you’re on the move, and delivery options-including no-contact delivery-when staying in feels like the better plan. Outdoor seating adds another layer, especially if you enjoy your food with fresh air and a bit of street-side charm. Drinks are clearly part of the experience here, with choices ranging from beer and wine to cocktails and spirits, plus coffee if you’re keeping things light or meeting up during the day. What really stands out to me is how inclusive the offerings feel, since vegan and vegetarian options sit comfortably alongside small plates and quick bites, making it easy for mixed groups to order without compromise. Alcohol is available, but it never overshadows the food, and the balance between casual dining and a social hangout vibe feels natural rather than forced. Smile Restaurant fits neatly into Kampong Cham’s food landscape by being approachable, flexible, and consistently inviting, whether you’re a local looking for a familiar favorite or a visitor wanting a relaxed introduction to Southeast Asian flavors in a friendly, unpretentious setting.

The Smile Restaurant in Kampong Cham is absolutely worth a visit. I had a chef’s salad that was so good I immediately ordered another salad, even though I didn’t know its name. Both were fresh, perfectly balanced, and full of flavor. I also enjoyed a glass of Merlot and an espresso, which were fantastic as well. Overall, a wonderful experience: delicious food, great drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended

We ended up eating here lunch and dinner during our 3 night stay in a nearby hotel as we couldn't find anywhere else doing alcohol other than beer outside of the big hotels. Gin and tonic both on the menu but they did not have tonic even though it is sold in nearby shops. Opted for Sprite instead. Red wine was fine. Service was mixed and perversly was better when they were busy. When quiet it was difficult to get attention. The menus need replacing, dirty and some with pages missing. However the food was generally very good. Highlights were chilli and basil rice with pork, nasi goreng, aubergine and pork and watermelon salad. Espresso was delicious. Cards are not accepted and there is a 10% surcharge. We paid 13 dollars at lunch and 22 dollars for dinner. Good but with a few changes would definitely be a 5 star place.

Great service, we ate here several times. Very well priced meals and drinks. Please be advised that the 10% people are calling a tip in other reviews is actually the VAT tax of 10% , which is clearly written on their menus. We had great food and service here. For a very good project to help young people. Highly recommended
